Last Chance is a tower defense game designed around cleaning up oil and defending beaches and sea-life from toxic spills. It is set in the future in which Peak Oil has drastically limited the means in which oil can be obtained, but a new invention from an engineer (the main character) allows for new deep sea oil exploration and discovery. In time, the majority of the world's oil is pulled from the ocean. But a weakness in the engineering of the rigs, combined with corner cutting from drilling corporations, creates a massive systemic failure across all the rigs, threatening any body of water close to a rig. Feeling guilty for a crisis partially of his own making, the aforementioned engineer takes all of the money he made off of his invention and invests it into a boat he designed to clean up oil. From there, he seeks to move from spill to spill, helping out where he can and meeting fellow activists along the way.

Hm, so I'm trying to download the game on my Dad's PC, and so far he's gotten a virus, and the installer can't find all the files, (or something.) We really wanna play it, so... I guess let me know if there's ever an updated link or maybe a readme as to how to install it? Just saying, it isn't totally clear. Thanks!
Sorry about that, we were all pretty busy with Finals and the zip was mainly meant for each other.
Arnav is right, you'll need the latest XNA redist. for the game to work. I plan on doing some work on the game over break, and when I do, I'll include in the next package.
For now, follow that first link of his and install XNA and the game should work just fine.
I'm not sure where that virus came from, that zip is just the published version of our game.
@Emily: Make sure to put everything from the .zip into its own folder. If you just open the zip and try to install, it wont find the files because they're just sitting in the zip folder.
@Arnav: Thanks for the links, we will get on that! However, your example doesn't work when I try to run it.
Woo, so apparently some of the soundtrack will by played at the Sammys! I don't know how many tracks they'll play, but if only one or two, which ones would everyone want? (And if only one, the main theme, or Coral Riff?) D : I'll let the coordinator know.

You should include instructions for redistributable for installing on machines that won't have XNA or any of the development tools.
Here are the guidelines from Microsoft on how to make a redistributable version.

Here's an example of an application that I made to share:

Scratch that--apparently they have a band and will be covering one of the songs. I'll go ahead and transcribe Coral Riff for a band... hopefully...

A very very very rough draft of the script is up. Critiques, comment, and ideas are more than welcome.
